hello! it's me, cameron, a fellow player in your game! i'm thinking about playing marie next year, and i was wondering if anyone else had plans for the characters. if not, did you have any thoughts about casey's sister's personality or how you saw their relationship? the half-baked character concept i've been playing with is that of a high energy, emotional, passionate, wild child. she's in a girl band! if she had half as much personality, it would be too much, which would mean the patterson house is probably Chaos Itself! i am flexible on all of this.

hello!!! marie is yours if you want her~ i would love to play the big bro to your little brolita. everything about her personality that i've already mentioned IC can be struck out because it was done before Y2 was mentioned and i don't want to pigeonhole a new player into having to abide by it. that being said, here's what has been mentioned:
- they're close. they'll bug and antagonize each other but in the end they get along and are capable of Just Chilling.
- she's a lot smarter than casey (not hard) and an aspiring mean girl; in my headcanon she's one of the freshmen responsible for the ranking lists and stuff.
- when casey wants to bother her he throws her over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes and carries her around because there's nothing she can do to stop him.

but i love what you've laid down so far. i've always imagined that of the 5 kids, the oldest is the most put-together, the second-oldest a little more rowdy but okay at reining it in, and the youngest 3 (casey, marie, and their teensy brother) are... painfully energetic, definitely not angelic, and a Quite a Handful.

also! if i do pick up marie, there's no need to strike anything, because she is Unformed and In The Ether at the moment and i cherish any extra info i can scrape up, lmfao. as you may-or-may not know, sparky's (now marie :O exciting to give her a real name) personality was born when i put my music library on shuffle and decided that the first 5 songs would shape her character direction, lmao. so, i take my direction where i can get it.

— i'd love it if they were close. stop picking her up!! that's cheating!! you're a dirty cheater, CASEY patterson!!!!!
— re: mean girling/ranking lists - that is ...... perfect. in my head, i think she sees herself as just a Fun Kid Having A Good Time (as opposed to deliberately antagonistic), but she's a whirlwind human who loves a good party and sticking her nose into people's business. she sees herself/her friends as an adorable ragtag bunch of clever misfits, but i think that actually they're like, a small collection of powerful terrors? so having her be one of the Listmaker Babies is ideal, if that works for you.
— "painfully energetic, definitely not angelic, and a Quite a Handful" sounds exactly right. rn, i kinda think she's going to be one of those people who are 1000% into something and making their whole Look And Personality about that thing, only to left turn swerve into something else a few years later. good at a lot and committed to nothing. that's okay, my y2 soph inspo came to me because, um. cheryl was considering a super sale senior but didn't want to write the history, so i suggested that her mother was just a small-town girl living in a lonely world who took the midnight train going anywhere, etc. etc. and now... now my soph's dad is from south detroit and tl;dr, the entire fucking character is based on a joke about a goddamned journey song AND it's always stuck in my head and sometimes i want to die but it's ok

she's the most ethereal ether-child rn but i want her parents to have gained some fame as a singer-songwriter duo in their youth who are trying to relive their glory days through their musical children, but she Just Wants To Play Quidditch. the jury is out on whether or not her childhood was spent in a too-commercial family band.

I LOVE IT I LOVE IT NEVER CHANGE. i have pointless headcanon crap (like "they know how to mend clothing and cook because everyone had to help out in this chaotic household") but i could always just like email you that or give you access to his y2 draft. but that's also basically the entire thing. idk.

BUT THE JOURNAL GOT ME ALL EXCITED

in casey's ~nascent y2 app~ i put that their mama speaks (haitian) creole at home; she was raised in NYC so didn't go through the french schooling/bureaucracy her parents did, but creole was the main language for her growing up, too, and she's determined to keep it that way as much as she can. BUUUT creole is largely from french, so while the patterkids would have conversational fluency in creole, they can prob understand a reasonable amount of spoken french! if this works for you~
