also! if i do pick up marie, there's no need to strike anything, because she is Unformed and In The Ether at the moment and i cherish any extra info i can scrape up, lmfao. as you may-or-may not know, sparky's (now marie :O exciting to give her a real name) personality was born when i put my music library on shuffle and decided that the first 5 songs would shape her character direction, lmao. so, i take my direction where i can get it.

— re: mean girling/ranking lists - that is ...... perfect. in my head, i think she sees herself as just a Fun Kid Having A Good Time (as opposed to deliberately antagonistic), but she's a whirlwind human who loves a good party and sticking her nose into people's business. she sees herself/her friends as an adorable ragtag bunch of clever misfits, but i think that actually they're like, a small collection of powerful terrors? so having her be one of the Listmaker Babies is ideal, if that works for you.
— "painfully energetic, definitely not angelic, and a Quite a Handful" sounds exactly right. rn, i kinda think she's going to be one of those people who are 1000% into something and making their whole Look And Personality about that thing, only to left turn swerve into something else a few years later. good at a lot and committed to nothing. Exhausting. adorable, but exhausting.

that's okay, my y2 soph inspo came to me because, um. cheryl was considering a super sale senior but didn't want to write the history, so i suggested that her mother was just a small-town girl living in a lonely world who took the midnight train going anywhere, etc. etc. and now... now my soph's dad is from south detroit and tl;dr, the entire fucking character is based on a joke about a goddamned journey song AND it's always stuck in my head and sometimes i want to die but it's ok

she's the most ethereal ether-child rn but i want her parents to have gained some fame as a singer-songwriter duo in their youth who are trying to relive their glory days through their musical children, but she Just Wants To Play Quidditch. the jury is out on whether or not her childhood was spent in a too-commercial family band.
