hhhmmmmmmmm i would say that, in the beginning, he wasn't toooooo great. pre-made campaigns, lots of double-checking, typical nervous first time DM biz combined with "when he's nervous sometimes he gets kinda angry." (and it's not like he grew up playing D&D so he didn't have any experience outside of gaming club.) by this year he's improved a lot and is making an honest effort to work with/for his players even if he's not going to admit it. :| so EMOTIONS and PLOT and TWISTS for players like rafael have started popping up more, and even if the first couple attempts might have flopped, they're totes getting there
the special is just hidden so so so so so far down, rafael. it's easier to be a semi-brainless broheim than to try and deal with emotions and confusion and hesitation, ok. :(((
